The roasted pomelo with honey is a dessert rich in vitamins, which also allows to end the meal on a nice note of freshness and lightness.
This recipe can also be served as a starter with a pan of prawns for example.
Ingredients for 4 persons :
2 branches of thyme
2 tbsp. of honey
1 C. olive oil.
Honey roasted grapefruit recipe
- Cut the pomelos in two equal parts along the circumference.
- Place them on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle with thyme (by pinching the thyme branches between your thumb and forefinger while pulling the leaves towards the surface of the fruit).
- Sweeten each pomelo half with 1/2 teaspoon of honey and garnish with a few drops of olive oil.
Broil for about 8 min (watching so that the fruit does not burn). Take the pomelos out of the oven and let cool before serving.
Optionally, serve roasted pomelo with a pan-fried prawns (or prawns) flambé or pan-fried.
To make the pomelos easier to taste, when preparing, pass the blade of a paring knife between each pomelo half-segment. These small bites will come off more easily.
